Review: Trunkisaurus

When Logan goes to stay with his granny and grandad it's like a mass flitting and I never have the right type of luggage or bags to help contain all his little bits and pieces; toothbrush, toothpaste, nappy cream, nappies, clothes etc so it ends up going in polly bags which just aren't any good. You can imagine my delight then when the lovely people from Trunki asked us to review the new Rox Trunkisaurus!

The Trunkisaurus are the new Trunki suitcases affectionately named Rox and Rex. As you can guess they've been themed from a prehistoric angle, one green and one yellow. We were sent the Rox who is yellow in colour. They both have creative marbling effect scales and come complete with big jaggy teeth!

When Logan first spied his new Trunkisaurus his little eyes lit up. It's the first time he's ever seen a trunki and I think he was very impressed and rather curious. The first thing he went for was the wheels, he is obsessed with wheels. Just today infact he tried to commandeer someone's buggy at our music class! All Trunki's come with a strap as well as handles so you can pick it up or hang it over your shoulder when your lifting it. When I clipped the strap on, Logan grabbed one end and pulled his Trunki along behind him, it was very cute and he ran up and down the hall with his Trunki in toe for ages.
You can buy sticker packs for these Trunki's so your little one can give them some eyes, extra scales, a tail, eggs etc which makes their Trunki more personal and unique. You can have boy stickers or girls stickers but to be honest we got the girl stickers and they're only a bit more pink so I'm sure younger kids wouldn't mind! Logan hasn't got the hand of riding his Trunki yet he much prefers to pull it along or play with the wheels but all I can say is that it is a god send for packing all his little things in. It has some ties inside which clip together and hold clothes or toys in place, much like an adult suitcase. There's also a little pocket in the middle which you can put small things in such as toothbrush and toothpaste or sunglasses so you don't lose them in amongst everything else.

If you want to be extra organised you can even purchase some nifty matching bits and bobs to go with your Trunkisaurus. The Travel Chums set includes a wash bag, pencil case and purse. Each features fierce felt teeth, print detail and a flexible clip so it can be attached to a belt loop, car seat or even a Trunki! The price for the 3 is £12.99. Or you might prefer the Saddle Bag? Ideal for day trips the saddlebag can be used as a saddle for a more luxurious ride on your Trunki, complete with a horn to move oncoming traffic out of the way! It also doubles as a messenger bag with plenty of pockets and even a spot for your comic book. RRP for the Saddle bag is £12.99. And last but not least is the Tote Bag. The 3in1 Tote is a shoulder bag that fits inside one half of a Trunki and can be clipped onto the car or plane seat in front keeping toys tidy and close to hand. The Tote Bag is also £12.99 to buy.

To purchase the Trunkisaurus you should head on over to the Trunki website: www.trunki.co.uk. RRP for either Trunkisaurus is £37.99.

Overall a brilliant invention and so many designs to choose from but we do like the Trunkisaurus and it's great for kids (or adults!) who love their dinosaurs. Very sturdy with lots of space for your little ones clothes and toys and perfect for taking on a trip abroad or over to Grannies house. I really can't fault the Trunkisaurus although the price may be a little expensive for some people however if you travel a lot of if your children like to spend the weekend at their grandparents then you'll get tons of use out of this item.

Mummies rating - 9/10
Logan's rating - 10/10
