Review: Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer Car

There’s something so cool and delightful about remote controlled cars. I’ve bought the kids a few over the years and they’ve all been much loved and played with. They do the usual zipping around the floor but we’ve never had one that can defy gravity! Step in the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer. We’ve all seen the adverts on TV and I was never convinced they actually work but I can hand on heart say I was totally wrong. These bad boys are brilliant!

So what’s it all about? Using patented Wall Climber Technology, this lightweight car drives on floors, up walls and even upside down on the ceiling! The Zero Gravity Laser easily chases a light in any direction you want, at super-fast speeds. Point the controller’s LED light at any smooth surface within a one- foot radius of the vehicle, and the Zero Gravity Laser will follow! The Zero Gravity Laser uses a USB rechargeable battery, so you can power up to race over and over! You just need 3x AAA batteries for the laser light controller (not a real laser so it’s all safe).

When my kids spotted that we’d been sent this Air Hogs car to review they couldn’t wait to get it out of the box. Included is 1 USB rechargeable Zero Gravity Lazer racer car with controller, USB charger and instructions. Charging via USB is easy, simply plug the car in and it’s ready to go in no time. Just remember batteries for the laser controller. The car is very lightweight which makes it perfect for climbing walls and ceilings. It can drive on any smooth surface in your home. I can also confirm it doesn’t leave any marks on your walls. I was slightly worried about this but after multiple shots on my walls around our home there was no marks at all. The car is very responsive to the laser controller, you can make sharp turns and even have it spinning around!

My kids got the hang of this toy straight away. They know how to charge the car up and how to turn it on for wall climbing fun. Even pointing the laser controller was easy for them, they just got it. They love it so much they’re actually fighting over it now so it’ll be going on the birthday/Christmas present list for this year. I’d recommend as a great kids toy to receive as a gift as it charges so quickly, easy to set up (for adults and children) and you can play with it sooner rather than later. Nothing worse than having to wait ages to play with a cool toy.

I honestly cannot fault the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer Car. It does exactly what it’s supposed to and the kids love it. Retailing at £34.99 as well it’s not going to break the bank, and if you’re lucky there’s usually a sale or two on where you can pick it up for a cheaper price. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family though and I bet some Dads out there would love their kids to get this toy haha. It is available to buy now and recommended for ages 8+.

This item was gifted in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
