Review: Loveyush Nursing Scarf

Since I knew I was going to breastfeed again when I gave birth second time round I've been on the look out for some sort of cover up/ breastfeeding aid for when I would be out and about breastfeeding my baby. I'm not worried about breastfeeding in public however I don't want my boobs on show to the world either so when the lovely Bhakti, the lady behind Loveyush, asked if I'd like to review her nursing scarf I couldn't have been happier.

Loveyush have a mission: "Our mission is to help parents spend more quality time by providing Loveyush products… products that are made with love, designed to increase convenience, safety and bond between parents and a baby. Like our first product, Loveyush Nursing Scarf, which provides practical and stylish solution for discreet breastfeeding. With many products in pipeline, we aim to solve real life problems and increase conveniences so that parents can spend more quality time with little one."

Sun shade for the car seat.

The nursing scarf itself is really quite nice. It's light weight so can be worn in summer as well as winter. It comes in a variety of designs and colours so something to suit everyone's tastes. I was sent the Sloane design which is black and grey and goes with anything. It reminds me of a tartan design on one side and the other side is striped and it can be worn either way. The scarf can be styled in multiple different ways from round the neck as a fashion scarf, draped over your head with a v neck or round neck, used as a cover for your car seat or pram/ buggy to shield baby from the sun or make it dark when sleeping. It really does have so many uses you can't go wrong. There's even a handy video on the Loveyush website for you to view for styling tips. The good thing with this breastfeeding aid is that it can be used before and well after breastfeeding as a fashion accessory so for between £27.50 and £34.79 (depending on which type of scarf you buy) you're getting a ton of wear out of it.

Draped over my head with the round neck.

I really do love my Loveyush Nursing Scarf. It's so easy to put on, no fiddly straps or studs, you literally just throw it over your head and ta da - you're ready to breastfeed. Perfect for when you have a super hungry baby. There's plenty of space to put your hand through the top of your scarf as well so you can see your baby but also fix yourself etc without anyone seeing anything. It's quite good to stop your baby getting distracted during feeding too when they get older. I remember when I was breastfeeding Logan when he was around 6 months and he would turn his head at every noise!

Breastfeeding!

As you can see from my photo above I've chosen to not cover my baby on this feed but that my breast is still covered. However when she is covered she doesn't over heat or become sweaty which is reassuring. It's probably down to the fact that the scarf I received to review is pure cotton with loosely woven fabric which makes it breathable. It's machine washable at 30o and like muslin it gets softer as you wash.

Overall a fab product which I'm really happy with. It does so much for so little money and because it's light weight it's easy to keep in Harlow's changing bag without taking up much space.

Mummy's rating - 10/10

It looks really nice to wear too! I have a few of my friends who are currently breastfeeding and I think these would make a great gift for them :)

I tried a Loveyush scarf when Max was tiny and really liked it - much prettier than a muslin! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

I love the idea of the Loveyush but I never managed to make it work for me - glad you've found something to help you :)
Thanks so much for linking up with #TriedTested this week x
